Heart-Shaped Wooden Box – Untreated Blank to Decorate and Give as a Gift

The heart-shaped wooden box is a blank made of untreated wood that you can paint, decorate or engrave. Afterwards it serves as storage for rings, jewellery and small keepsakes. A magnetic closure keeps the box shut, and it opens in one easy movement.

Decorating the box

The wood is natural and unvarnished. Lightly sand the surface with fine sandpaper before painting and wipe off the dust, so the paint goes on evenly. Water-based paints can raise the wood grain. After the first coat, give it a quick sand again and apply a second coat. Do not immerse the box in water; apply the paint with a brush. Around the rim of the lid and the magnetic closure, use only thin layers so that the lid closes cleanly and does not stick.
