Efco Brennpeter AC Pyrography Pen, 30 W, 230 V, 6 Tips

Efco Brennpeter AC – pyrography pen for wood, leather and cork

The Efco Brennpeter AC pyrography pen is a wood burning tool for burning patterns, lettering and decoration into wood, leather and cork. It has a power rating of 30 W and runs on 230 V, 50 Hz. It comes with 6 tips and a metal stand, so you can start straight away with different line widths and effects.

The pen plugs directly into a socket; there is no station or temperature control. You therefore control the heat through speed and pressure: the slower you move, the darker the line. If you want to set the temperature yourself, you will need a pyrography tool with temperature control. For name plates, decorative items and personal gifts, the Brennpeter AC is sufficient.

Burning step by step

A few simple habits help you avoid the typical mistakes in pyrography.

• Draw your design on the material in pencil first.
• Test the tips on an offcut of the same material before working on the actual piece.
• Move the pen evenly and with light pressure; on wood, burn with the grain for best results.
• Always rest the hot pen on the metal stand, never directly on the work surface.
• Change tips only when the plug is pulled out and the pen has cooled down.

Which materials are suitable?

The Brennpeter AC is intended for wood, leather and cork. Untreated, smooth wood gives clear lines. Do not burn on varnished or coated surfaces, as unpleasant fumes can be produced, and always ensure good ventilation.
