Artemio wooden plaque 10 x 16 cm – pine wood to decorate and customise

The Artemio wooden plaque is a pine wood blank measuring 10 x 16 cm. You can paint it, stick things on it or write on it, and make wall decor, name and door signs or small gift tags from it.

The handy size suits small motifs, short lettering or serves as a base for collages and decoupage. Pine has a light colour and visible grain. With translucent paints or wood stain the wood structure stays visible; opaque acrylic paints cover it.

Decorating the wooden plaque

Sand the surface lightly before painting and remove the dust. Pine can contain resin and knots, which may show through light colours. A primer or an opaque undercoat gives an even base here. Apply paint in thin layers and let each layer dry so that nothing runs into the grain. To protect it, you can finish with clear varnish.
