These round natural wooden beads from Meyco have a diameter of 25 mm and a larger hole of 9.0 mm. In macramé you thread them onto thicker cords and ribbons, where the hole of ordinary craft beads would be too small. The pack contains 5 beads.

The natural, untreated colour suits wall hangings, plant hangers, key rings and garlands. At 25 mm the beads are clearly visible accents and show off a knot or the end of a cord well.

Using the beads

The 9.0 mm hole is intended for the cords and ribbons you typically knot in macramé. Measure the diameter of your cord beforehand: it must pass easily through the hole, even if you pass it through doubled. Secure the bead with a knot below it that is larger than the hole, or trap it between two knots.

Which size to choose

The range includes round natural wooden beads in Ø 15, 20, 25 and 30 mm. The smaller sizes, Ø 15 and 20 mm, have a 6.0 mm hole and therefore only suit thinner cords. For thicker cords, choose the 25 mm bead. With only 5 beads per pack, it suits individual accents; for longer strings of beads you will need more packs or a smaller size.
