Metallic Sealing Wax Assortment – 200 Wax Beads in 10 Colours

The Graine Créative metallic sealing wax assortment contains 200 wax beads in 10 metallic shades. Use it to close and decorate letters, invitations, certificates or gift wrapping with an embossed wax seal. With 10 colours, you can match the seal to the paper, envelope or occasion.

Each bead measures approx. 9 × 5 mm. The small shape is practical because you only take the amount you need for a seal and keep the rest of the box for further seals. For sealing you will also need a wax seal stamp, which is not included.

Making a wax seal

The wax is heated over a flame and embossed with the seal stamp. Use only a few beads so the seal does not become too large.

• Put a few beads in the melting spoon and hold it over the flame until the wax is liquid.
• Let the wax drip onto the spot where the seal is to sit. This forms a round pool.
• Press the stamp straight down onto the still-soft wax and hold it steady for a few seconds.
• Lift the stamp only once the wax has cooled, so the design stands out cleanly.

What the assortment suits

The metallic shades look particularly good on dark paper and on card. With 10 colours, you can colour-match invitations, certificates or packaging without having to buy several packs.

You will also need: a wax seal stamp (for example a brass seal with a screw handle), a melting spoon and a flame, such as a candle.

When melting, you are working with an open flame and hot wax, which can cause burns. Work on a heat-resistant surface, keep hair and sleeves away from the flame and never leave the flame unattended.
