Artemio melting spoon for sealing wax – melt and pour wax neatly
With the Artemio melting spoon for sealing wax, you melt sealing wax over a candle or tealight and pour it precisely onto letters, invitations or gift wrapping. The metal spoon is 115 mm long.
The wax sits in the spoon rather than directly in the flame. This means nothing drips or spills, as can happen when you heat a wax stick. A small amount is enough for one seal. The metal is sturdy and designed for repeated use, so it also suits wedding invitations, vintage decorations and DIY projects where you make several seals in a row.
Making a wax seal
Have your seal stamp and paper ready before you melt the wax, because liquid wax quickly sets again.
- Put sealing wax pellets or small pieces into the spoon
- Hold the spoon over a candle or tealight until the wax is liquid
- Pour the melted wax onto the chosen spot
- Place the seal stamp on the wax, press briefly and let the wax cool
Tips for even seals
Heat the wax only until it has just turned liquid. If it gets too hot, it may form bubbles or darken. Start with a little wax and test the amount on a scrap of paper: this quickly shows you how much you need for the size of your stamp.
