The DIY soap making kit "It’s Shower Time, Baby" in the Calm version from Graine Créative lets you melt three soap blocks of 50 g and pour them into the moulds to make three soaps in pink and mauve shades. The moulds show a moon, a sun and a lotus flower. Everything you need for pouring is in the kit: the soap, three moulds and instructions. As the soap comes ready-made in blocks, there is nothing to weigh out or mix.

The moulds are made in France and can be used again after the first pour. If you buy more soap blocks later, you can pour the designs once more. The kit is a good introduction to soap making and a gift for anyone who enjoys making things themselves.

How to pour the soaps

The instructions in the kit guide you through the pouring step by step. In essence, it works like this:

• Cut the soap block into thin strips, as it melts more evenly.
• Melt in the microwave on low power for approx. 20 seconds, stirring with a spatula. Do not let the soap boil. Alternatively, you can melt it in a bain-marie.
• Pour the melted soap into the mould straight away, before it sets again.
• Leave to harden completely. Approx. 20 minutes in the fridge will speed this up.
• Only then remove from the mould, so that the fine details of the moon, sun and lotus flower are preserved.

Which version is right for you?

The Shower Time kit comes in three versions, each with three soaps. Calm has pink and mauve soaps with a moon, sun and lotus flower. Joy comes in orange shades with a face, a tiger and hands with a rainbow, Nature in green shades with flowers and a bird. Simply choose by colour and design; the quantity and contents of the kit are the same.
