Wooden Mixing Palette, Rectangular, 27 × 41 cm

Rectangular Wooden Mixing Palette – Space to Mix Acrylic, Gouache and Oil Paints

The rectangular mixing palette is made of 3-ply plywood and has a clear varnished surface for mixing acrylic, gouache and oil paints. At 27 × 41 cm, it offers enough room to set out several shades side by side and to try out mixes before you transfer them to canvas or paper.

The palette is made of several glued layers of wood, and the varnish is clear. This keeps the colour of the wood visible, and the surface can be wiped clean after painting.

Using the palette

Put the colours around the edge of the palette and mix in the centre. This keeps the base colours clean and lets you remake mixes at any time. With acrylic paint, wipe off fresh leftovers straight away, as dried paint is hard to remove. The large surface is useful for laying out colour series with different mixing ratios and comparing them side by side before you paint.
