Revell '65 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback – 1:24 scale model kit

The Revell '65 Ford Mustang 2+2 Fastback kit (art. no. 07065) is a 1:24 scale plastic model for you to assemble, glue and paint. It consists of 82 parts, and the finished model is approx. 191 mm long. The parts come unassembled, unglued and unpainted, so you finish the car entirely yourself, including following the picture on the box.

The real car: the Mustang was unveiled at the New York World's Fair in 1964. In 1965 the 2+2 Fastback, a coupé with a sloping rear, followed the coupé and the convertible. Engines ranged up to a 289 cu in V8 (4.7 litres) with up to 275 PS. The top speed of the Fastback was around 189 km/h.

The kit reproduces the car in great detail, which you can emphasise in different ways when building and painting:

Building the model

Read the assembly instructions first and decide on the order of work. Cut the parts from the sprue with side cutters and clean up the attachment points so that the parts fit together neatly later. It is best to paint the body, interior and engine before assembly, as they are hard to reach afterwards. Chrome-plated parts hold poorly at the glue points: carefully scrape the chrome off there. Soak the decals briefly in water and apply them to a smooth, glossy painted surface.
