Revell Masking Tape 20 mm – masking tape for clean edges when painting
Revell Masking Tape (art. no. 39696) is a masking tape for covering model parts when painting. It stops paint bleeding at the edges. The roll is 20 mm wide and 10 m long. The tape conforms very well, has strong adhesion and can be removed again without leaving marks.
At 20 mm wide, it covers larger, flat parts well, for example fuselage sections, wings or car bodies. You can also use it for masking when spraying with an airbrush.
How to mask cleanly
The surface should be clean, dry and free of grease, otherwise the tape will not hold as well. Cut the tape to the length you need and lay it along the edge you want to protect. Press the edge down firmly, because only a tight-fitting edge stops paint from creeping underneath. On surfaces that have already been painted, let the paint dry thoroughly before masking. After painting, peel the tape off slowly and at a shallow angle.
Which width?
The 20 mm roll is intended for larger surfaces and straight edges. For finer divisions and details, Revell Masking Tape is also available in 10 mm and 6 mm widths. Narrower strips can be placed more precisely on small parts.
