UHU Shoe & Leather – special adhesive for shoe repairs and bonding leather

UHU Special Adhesive Shoe & Leather in the 30 g tube is an adhesive for bonding shoes and leather. It forms a tough, flexible adhesive film that compensates for stresses in the material. This matters when the bond is constantly flexing in everyday use, for example on the sole or upper.

The adhesive film is water-resistant and resistant to oil as well as dilute acids and alkalis. It bonds leather, rubber, metal, cork, textiles and many plastics. The adhesive is not suitable for PE, PP, soft PVC and polystyrene foam.

What the adhesive is suitable for – and what it isn't

Given the range of materials it bonds, the adhesive is suitable for repairs to shoes, bags and leather goods, but also for rubber, cork, metal and textiles. With plastics, check first which type of plastic you have, as PE, PP and soft PVC cannot be bonded with it. For polystyrene foam, use a different adhesive.

How to use

The surfaces to be bonded should be clean, dry and free from grease, otherwise the bond will hold less well. Work in a well-ventilated room, away from sources of ignition, and follow the instructions for use on the tube. Close the tube tightly after use. With sensitive or unknown plastics, test the adhesive on an inconspicuous area first.

Avoid breathing vapour. IF ON SKIN: Wash with plenty of soap and water. IF IN EYES: Rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. Dispose of contents/container in accordance with national regulations. This product must not be used where ventilation is inadequate.
