Efco Design-Metall Flakes – metal flakes for decorating with gilding size

Design-Metall Flakes from Efco are small metal flakes for decorating craft projects. You apply them with thin gilding size to decorate surfaces, edges or individual accents. Choose your colour from the options.

One pack contains approx. 7 pieces in assorted sizes, 1 g in total. You can cover small areas spot by spot and break larger pieces up if needed.

Working with the flakes

According to Efco's craft tip, proceed as follows:

• Apply gilding size only where the flakes are to stick, and leave it to become tacky for at least 15 minutes.
• Lay the flakes piece by piece onto the tacky size and press down.
• Press down again with a dry, soft brush.
• Remove excess with a stiffer brush.

Suitable surfaces

Efco lists paper, card, plastic, wood, polystyrene, metal, wax, glass, porcelain and cast ceramic as surfaces. Flakes can also be worked into casting resin: Efco places small pieces into resin that has already become tacky. As the pack contains only 1 g, it is best planned for accents and small areas.
