Van Gogh empty watercolour box with travel brush – your own colours on the go
The empty box from Royal Talens' Van Gogh range is a compact plastic case for 12 watercolour half pans. It is supplied empty, so you put together your own choice of colours. A No. 6 travel brush is included, so you can start painting straight after filling it.
The box is particularly handy for refill colours: you fit the favourite colours you keep using and swap out individual pans when they run out. Half pans from Van Gogh or Schmincke fit.
Putting together your colour palette
Choose twelve half pans to suit your subjects, for example a landscape palette or the shades you use most, and fit them into the box. If you have filled empty pans with paint yourself, let it dry completely before closing the lid. With the compact box and the No. 6 travel brush, you have a small watercolour set for your sketchbook and for painting on the go.
