Efco Design-Metall – metal leaf sheets for decorating many surfaces

Efco Design-Metall consists of thin metal leaf sheets measuring 140 x 140 mm, for finishing craft and decorative projects. You apply them with a thin layer of gilding size and use them to create surfaces, edges or motifs with a metallic look. The metal comes in several colours; choose your colour from the options.

Design-Metall adheres to many materials: paper, card, plastic, wood, polystyrene, metal, wax, glass, porcelain and cast ceramic. You can therefore decorate cards, frames, candles, ceramic figures or polystyrene shapes with the same material. Even small offcuts can still be used for details.

Working with Design-Metall

The surface should be clean, dry and free from grease. Apply the gilding size thinly and evenly, only where the metal is to stick, and follow the drying instructions on the gilding size.

• Lay the sheet on and press it down gently with a soft brush
• The metal is very thin: handle it with dry hands and work away from draughts
• Brush away any overhanging pieces and keep them for small areas
