Shell box silicone mould – casting mould for plaster, concrete and resin

With the Creativ Company shell box silicone mould, you can cast shell shapes in plaster, concrete or casting resin – for example for decorative bowls, jewellery dishes or small trinket boxes. The mould measures 13.2 × 13.3 cm and is 3 cm high.

The silicone is flexible, so you can gently push the hardened pieces out of the mould without breaking them.

Casting in the mould

Place the mould on a level surface so that the top ends up flat. Mix the plaster, concrete or resin according to the instructions for that material and pour the mixture in slowly to reduce air bubbles. Tap the mould lightly on the work surface so that bubbles rise. Leave concrete and plaster to harden and dry completely; leave casting resin to cure according to the manufacturer's instructions. Only then gently push back the edges of the mould and release the piece. When using casting resin, follow the resin's safety instructions and wear gloves.

Once you have used a mould for plaster, concrete or casting resin, do not use it for food again.
