Glorex Crystal epoxy resin kit – crystal clear and high-gloss for jewellery, resin art and embedding

The Glorex Crystal casting resin kit consists of epoxy resin and hardener, 120 ml of each. You can use it to cast jewellery, embeddings, resin art and small decorative pieces. The resin is crystal clear, dries to a high-gloss finish and levels itself to a smooth surface.

Measuring cups, stirring sticks and disposable gloves are already included in the kit, so you can start measuring straight away. Mix resin and hardener in a ratio of 1:1. This fixed ratio makes measuring simple but calls for care: if the quantities are inaccurate, the resin may not cure properly.

Working with the resin kit

It is important to measure resin and hardener exactly 1:1 and to mix both components thoroughly. The two measuring cups in the kit will help you do this.

• Cover the work surface, put on gloves and keep the surface clean, dry and free of dust.
• Measure resin and hardener in a ratio of 1:1.
• Stir slowly and thoroughly so that as few air bubbles as possible form. Scrape the bottom and sides of the cup too, so that no unmixed residue ends up in your piece.
• Pour the mixture calmly into the mould or let it run over the object to be embedded, and leave it to cure undisturbed.

What the kit is suitable for

2 × 120 ml is enough for smaller projects such as pendants, rings, coasters or embedded dried flowers and decorative elements. The self-levelling formula spreads by itself and gives a smooth, glossy surface. For larger objects, allow for more material and always measure resin and hardener in equal parts.
