Staedtler Mars micro 775 – 0.5 mm mechanical pencil for writing and drawing

The Staedtler Mars micro 775 is a mechanical pencil with a 0.5 mm lead size for writing, sketching and drawing. The lead sleeve is rigid and cylindrical, so you can guide the pencil cleanly along rulers and stencils. The lead is spring-mounted, which protects it better against breakage if you press too hard. The non-slip rubber grip zone gives your fingers a secure hold, even during long writing sessions.

The clip, push button and tip are made of metal. The lead sleeve can be retracted, which makes the pencil pocket-safe: the tip does not pierce jacket or pencil case fabric. The line width is indicated by an ISO colour code.

Which lead size suits you?

At 0.5 mm, you have a widely used size for handwriting, sketches and technical drawings: the lines are fine, but still clearly visible. The Mars micro 775 series is also available in 0.3, 0.7 and 0.9 mm. Finer leads suit very small details, thicker ones give bolder lines. The size of your replacement leads must always match the pencil.

Eraser and changing leads

Under the push button is a PVC-free and latex-free eraser, so you can make corrections without reaching for a second tool. Once the lead is used up, replace it. Use fine leads with a diameter of 0.5 mm.
