Revell Email Color matt opaque – synthetic resin paint for plastic models

Revell Email Color in matt opaque is a synthetic resin enamel paint for model making. It does not attack the plastic surface of plastic models. The 14 ml tin suits kits and fine details, and you can also use it to paint many other materials. Choose your colour from the options.

Apply the paint with a brush. Thinned with Revell Color Mix, it can also be used with an airbrush. You can overpaint it after 4–6 hours, and it is fully dry after 24 hours. For several coats, you can therefore carry on working the same day.

Working with the enamel paint

Stir the tin well before use so that the binder and pigments are evenly distributed. The surface should be clean and free of dust and grease. Apply the paint in several thin coats rather than one thick coat, as thick coats can clog details and dry more slowly. Between coats, wait at least the 4–6 hours after which you can overpaint.

Mixing, thinning, cleaning

All shades except the signal colours can be mixed with each other. Use Revell Color Mix for thinning. You will need it above all if you want to apply the paint with an airbrush. After use, clean with the matching Revell cleaner:

Which finish to choose

This paint is the matt opaque version. Email Color is also available in gloss opaque, satin opaque and metallic opaque. Choose the finish to match the real-life original of your model, then choose the colour from the options.
