Revell Email Color gloss opaque – synthetic resin enamel paint for models
Revell Email Color in the gloss, opaque finish is a synthetic resin enamel paint in a 14 ml tin for painting plastic models. The paint does not attack the plastic surface. Many other materials can be painted with it as well. Choose your colour from the options.
You can apply the paint with a brush or spray it with an airbrush. For airbrushing, thin it with Revell Color Mix. All shades in the Email Color range except the signal colours can be mixed with one another, so you can mix your own shades.
Applying the paint
Stir the paint well before use so that the pigments and binder are evenly distributed. Apply it in thin coats rather than one thick coat: this gives fewer runs and brush marks. For the airbrush, thin it with Revell Color Mix. You can apply another coat after just 4–6 hours, and the paint is fully dry after 24 hours. Work in a well-ventilated area. Clean brushes with Revell Painta Clean and the airbrush with Revell Airbrush Clean.
Choosing the finish
This paint is gloss and opaque. The range also includes matt, satin and metallic finishes, each opaque. If a model or component should look uniform overall, it is best to stay with one level of gloss, because matt and gloss surfaces look clearly different side by side. Mix your own shades only within the Email Color range; signal colours are excluded.
