Faber-Castell Black Edition Colouring Pencils, 100 in Metal Tin

Faber-Castell Black Edition – 100 colouring pencils with Supersoft lead in a metal tin

The Faber-Castell Black Edition colouring pencils in the 100-piece metal tin are a large set of triangular pencils for drawing and colouring in. According to Faber-Castell, the 100 colours were chosen by art teachers. The barrel is made of black wood, and the lead is a Supersoft lead with an extra soft colour application.

The soft lead lays down plenty of colour and also works on dark or coloured paper. There you can add accents that would otherwise get lost on light paper. Thanks to a special bonding process, the lead is protected against breakage, which helps when sharpening and if the pencils are dropped. The triangular shape gives a better grip.

Drawing on light and dark paper

On white paper, the Supersoft lead gives bright, rich colours with little pressure. On dark or coloured paper the colours stay visible, so you can add highlights and outlines, for example. Test the colour effect first on a sample sheet of the same paper, as the paper tone affects the result.

The set in the metal tin

The 100 pencils sit in a metal tin with four removable tiered trays. This keeps the colours organised, and you can take individual layers with you to your workspace. The wood of the pencils comes from certified sustainable forestry (FSC).
