How to work Tunisian crochet

In Tunisian crochet, you pick up all the stitches of a row onto the hook on the forward pass and work them off again on the return pass. The stitches stay on the hook at first. That is why each tip comes with a cable, which holds the stitches of a whole row. The finished fabric then looks woven.

Which tip and which cable?

The hook size depends on your yarn; a recommendation is usually given on the ball band. Tunisian crochet often works up tighter than ordinary crochet.
