Prym iron-on interfacing – for collars, cuffs and lapels

Prym tailoring interfacing is a white iron-on interfacing you can use to stabilise fabric at collars, cuffs, lapels and pocket openings. Cut it to size and iron it on. This gives the fabric more body and firmness in these areas.

The interfacing comes as a 90 × 45 cm piece on a card, which is 0.405 m². That makes it easy to plan the amount for individual garments and smaller sewing projects.

Using the interfacing

Cut the interfacing to match the pattern piece, for example for a collar, cuff or facing. Place it on the wrong side of the fabric and iron it on. Set the iron temperature to suit your main fabric, and test on a fabric scrap first to check that the fabric can take the heat and that the interfacing bonds well. For collars and cuffs, this gives the necessary firmness before you sew the pieces together.

Care

The interfacing is easy to care for: it can be washed at 40 degrees, tumble dried and ironed. Dry cleaning with perchloroethylene is also possible.
