Prym Plastic Wool Needles – 3 Needles for Knitting Mills, Knitting Dolls and Looms

The Prym plastic wool needles, assorted (art. no. 124100), are a set of three wool needles for knitting mills, knitting dolls and loom products. All three have a large eye that makes threading wool easy. According to Prym, they are extremely sturdy yet flexible, so you can also use them for other work with wool.

The needles come in plum blue and grey. The grey needle has a curved, rounded tip for lifting stitches over. The two plum blue needles have a straight, rounded tip.

Which needle for which job

The three needles differ in length, thickness and tip shape, so you can choose according to the yarn and the step you are working on.

• Grey needle: curved, rounded tip for lifting stitches over, for example when loom knitting
• Plum blue needles: straight, rounded tip, e.g. for threading and sewing in yarn ends
• Three sizes from 72 to 101 mm, so you have the right needle to hand for finer and thicker yarn

Sewing in yarn ends

Thread the yarn end through the large eye and pull it through the stitches on the wrong side of your work. The rounded tip slides between the stitches without splitting the fibres. Do not pull the yarn too tight, so the knitted fabric does not pucker, and only trim the remaining end afterwards.
