Prym Ergonomics Crochet Hook Set 3.5–6 mm, 5 Hooks

Prym Ergonomics Crochet Hook Set 3.5–6 mm – 5 Sizes for Comfortable Crocheting

The Prym Ergonomics crochet hook set for wool (art. no. 218440) contains five crochet hooks in sizes 3.5, 4, 4.5, 5 and 6 mm. It covers many yarn projects without you having to buy individual hooks separately. The hooks are made of high-performance plastic.

According to Prym, the stitches glide easily over the shaft and the optimised hook. The ergonomic handle is designed for fatigue-free crocheting, which matters during long crochet sessions. The handle is coloured to show the hook size, so you can quickly pick the right hook from the set.

Which hook for which yarn?

Sizes 3.5 to 6 mm suit yarn of medium to thick weight, for example for scarves, hats, blankets or amigurumi. The hook size you use is determined by your pattern or the ball band of your yarn. Crochet a small tension swatch before starting the actual project: if it turns out too tight, use the next larger hook; if it is too loose, use the next smaller one. For even thicker yarns, Prym offers a sister set from 7 to 12 mm.

Working with the set

The set contains each size once. This helps if you are crocheting several projects at the same time or only decide on the hook size after working a tension swatch. The coloured handles show you the size at a glance, so you do not have to read the printed size every time.
