Glass mosaic pieces 8–20 mm – mixed colours for mosaic work

These glass mosaic pieces are polished glass in a mix of colours, which you can use to lay mosaics, for example for table tops, mirror frames, garden projects or wall decoration. The edges are smooth and rounded, which makes laying and sorting more pleasant than with sharp-edged broken glass. The 2 kg contain many different colours and shapes, so you can design larger areas freely without buying more.

With pieces of approx. 8–20 mm and a thickness of approx. 2–3 mm, you can lay small-scale motifs just as well as loose areas in a crazy-paving mosaic style. Because everything is supplied mixed, you decide as you lay how colourful or calm the result looks.

Laying a mosaic

Lay the design out dry first, so you can see whether colours and sizes are well distributed. Then stick the pieces down one by one. Use an adhesive suitable for glass and your base; for outdoor projects, the adhesive and grout must be designed for outdoor use. Once the adhesive has set, fill the gaps between the irregular shapes with grout and wipe any residue off the glass before it hardens.

Good to know

Even rounded edges do not change the fact that this is glass: work on a firm surface and put away loose pieces after laying. The mix combines well with ceramic tiles if you want to treat areas and frames differently.
