Efco cone candle mould – make your own cone candles

With the Efco cone candle mould, you can cast your own cone candles measuring 105 x 67 mm. The mould is made of plastic and designed for wax up to max. 65 °C. 1 mould is included.

The cone mould is tapered: the candle becomes narrower towards one end. It is a classic candle shape that looks good on its own as a table decoration or grouped with other candles.

Choosing the wax and temperature

The mould withstands a maximum of 65 °C. Before casting, check the recommended pouring temperature of your wax and measure it with a thermometer. Wax that has to be poured at a higher temperature is not suitable for this mould, as the mould may warp.

Method

Fix the wick in the centre of the mould and keep it taut so that it does not slip while you pour. Pour in the wax slowly and let it cool completely. As it cools, the wax usually sinks around the wick. Pierce a few holes next to the wick with a wooden stick and top up with a little more wax. Only remove the candle from the mould once it has set completely.

You will also need: candle wax, wick and wick holder; a water bath with a melting pot or pouring jug for melting the wax; a thermometer to check the pouring temperature

The mould is only temperature-resistant up to max. 65 °C. Do not pour in hotter wax. Never leave burning candles unattended.
