LYKKE Umbrella Swift Mango – yarn swift for winding and unwinding skeins

The LYKKE Umbrella Swift helps you wind and unwind skeins of yarn or wool neatly. It is handmade from mango wood. You fix it to the edge of a table with the wooden clamp screw, and use the adjusting ring to open the umbrella to the size of your skein.

The swift is approx. 60 cm high (without pin) and has a maximum diameter of 76.2 cm. It holds skeins up to approx. 240 cm round, so you can also work with large skeins. For storage, the swift folds down and fits into the drawstring cloth bag supplied.

Using the umbrella swift

The swift keeps the skein evenly tensioned, so the yarn does not tangle as you unwind it.

• Clamp the swift upright to the edge of a sturdy table using the wooden screw.
• Open the umbrella with the adjusting ring until the skein sits smoothly all the way round without being stretched.
• Place the skein on the swift, find the end of the yarn and wind the yarn off, for example into a ball.
• Draw the yarn off evenly and do not hold it too taut, so that it is not overstretched.

Easy to store

After use, fold the swift down and put it in the bag. LYKKE gives a five-year guarantee against manufacturing defects.
