Fitting the nose

The nose is most secure if you fit it before stuffing the head. You can no longer reach the post from the inside afterwards.

• Mark the position on the head with a pin and hold the nose in place from the outside to check that the face looks right.
• On fabric, pierce a small hole for the post; on crocheted work, push the post between two stitches.
• Press the safety washer firmly onto the post from the inside until it clearly sits in place.
• Only then stuff the head with toy stuffing.
