Lang Yarns Wooladdicts HONESTY – soft aran yarn for winter knitting

Wooladdicts HONESTY by Lang Yarns is an aran-weight knitting yarn for jumpers, scarves, hats and other winter projects. It is made from 47% cotton (Pima), 42% alpaca (baby alpaca), 7% polyamide and 4% wool (merino extrafine). The blend of plant fibre and fine animal hair suits garments that you want to be cosy without being too heavy. The small proportion of polyamide gives the knitted fabric stability.

One ball weighs 50 g and, according to the manufacturer, has a length of approx. 115 m. That works out at approx. 230 m per 100 g, so you can plan the quantity for your project easily from the length given in your pattern. Choose your colour from the options.

Using HONESTY

With needle size 6–7 mm and a tension of 16 stitches × 23 rows, it knits up quickly. The yarn suits jumpers, scarves, hats, wrist warmers or blankets worked in aran weight. Patterns for jumpers calling for exactly this weight are available for the yarn. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the figure on the ball band is only a guide.

Care and planning

Wash items knitted in HONESTY with detergent for delicates and without fabric softener, as recommended by the manufacturer. For larger items such as jumpers, convert the length required in your pattern into balls. Buy the whole quantity at once so that the colour stays consistent throughout.
