The Ricorumi Nilli Nilli set of 30 from Rico Design is a chenille yarn set for crocheting amigurumi figures. It contains 30 balls of 25 g in 100% polyester, with colour numbers 001 to 030 included once each. At 65 m per ball, you get a total of 750 g and around 1,950 m of yarn. This helps you plan several figures from one set.

The chenille fibres give your animals and dolls a soft, fluffy surface. Rico Design gives a needle size of 3 mm.

What the set is suited to

Each ball has 65 m. With the 30 different colours, you can put together multicoloured figures, such as animals with tummies, ears and details in contrasting colours. For a large, single-colour figure, however, one ball is often not enough, as each colour is only included once in the set. So plan in advance which colour will cover how much area. What matters is the tension given in your pattern; the needle size of 3 mm is only a guide.

Crocheting with chenille

With chenille yarn, individual stitches are harder to see than with smooth yarn. So count the stitches in each round and mark the start of the round with a stitch marker. This way you keep track of the shape of the figure.

According to the manufacturer, the yarn is easy to care for. Please note the following:

• Do not iron
• Gentle dry cleaning with perchloroethylene or hydrocarbons is possible
