The Ricorumi Nilli Nilli Fashion Set from Rico Design contains 10 balls of chenille yarn, 25 g each, in ten different colours, intended for amigurumi figures and other soft crochet and knitting projects. The yarn is 100% polyester and, according to the manufacturer, has a dense chenille structure with a matt sheen, which makes it particularly soft and fluffy.

Each ball has a length of 65 m, so the set comes to a total of 650 m. With one ball in each colour, you can work figures with several areas of colour without having to buy individual balls separately. The yarn thickness is approx. 3 mm and the recommended needle size is 3 mm.

Working with chenille yarn

Chenille is dense and fluffy, so individual stitches are harder to see than with smooth yarn. Place a stitch marker at the start of each round and count regularly so that the shape and proportions of your figure are right. When crocheting, insert the hook carefully into the stitch loops so that the yarn does not twist. For faces and small details, the soft yarn combines well with smooth embroidery thread or safety eyes.

Choosing and care

This set contains fashion colours. If you would prefer more muted shades, Rico Design also offers a pastel set in the Nilli Nilli range. According to the manufacturer, the yarn is washable at 30 °C. Do not tumble dry finished figures and accessories, and do not iron them.
