AURORA Steinbach BL21 drawing pad, 20 sheets, 200 gsm

AURORA Steinbach BL21 drawing pad – 20 sheets of 200 g/m² drawing paper

The AURORA Steinbach BL21 drawing pad holds 20 sheets of 200 g/m² drawing paper for sketches, studies and finished drawings. The paper is cream-white with a smooth surface on which fine lines and details stay crisp. The sheets are glued, so the pad stays together while you work until you detach a sheet.

At 200 g/m², the paper is much heavier than copier paper. It withstands erasing and several layers of pencil without wearing through quickly. Choose the size from the options.

What you can use the pad for

The paper is suitable for drawings in pencil, charcoal and ink. You can also use acrylic and watercolour paints on it. The smooth surface works well for precise, detailed work. Fix charcoal drawings with fixative at the end so nothing smudges. With wet media, work with little water and tape the sheet down all round with masking tape onto a firm board. This keeps it flatter while it dries.

BL21 or BL17?

The Steinbach range also includes the BL17 pad with 250 g/m². The heavier paper absorbs more water without cockling as quickly. If you work a lot with acrylic or watercolour, it is the safer choice. For dry techniques such as pencil, charcoal and ink, the BL21 with 200 g/m² is usually sufficient.
