Pelikan TWIST P457 Fountain Pen, Medium Nib

Pelikan TWIST P457 – Fountain Pen with Stainless Steel Medium Nib

The Pelikan TWIST P457 is a cartridge fountain pen with a stainless steel nib in medium (M) line width. Pelikan describes it as a trendy writing instrument with a twisted look, aimed at young people. It suits right- and left-handers, and the grip zone is ergonomically shaped.

According to Pelikan, the pen comes with a royal blue large-capacity ink cartridge with erasable ink, so you can start writing straight away. The pen is 139 mm long and is supplied in a folding box. Choose your colour from the options.

Medium nib and ink: what to expect

Line width M is a medium nib width, sitting between fine and broad nibs. The cartridge supplied contains erasable ink: you can remove small writing errors with a Pelikan ink eraser. The pen writes in the colour of the ink fitted, so you change the writing colour by using other cartridges.

Changing the cartridge

Here is how to change the cartridge:

• Open the pen and pull off the empty cartridge.
• Push the new cartridge on firmly, opening first, until it is seated.
• Reassemble the pen and hold it with the nib pointing down until the ink has flowed through.
• Then draw a few lines on a test sheet.
