LAMY AL-star fountain pen dark blue (oceanblue), medium nib

LAMY AL-star fountain pen in dark blue – lightweight aluminium pen with medium nib

The LAMY AL-star in dark blue (oceanblue, model 028) is a lightweight fountain pen for everyday use, school, study and the office. The body is made of anodised aluminium and the clip is metal. The polished stainless steel nib is a medium (M) and writes with a medium line width. It suits normal handwriting and note-taking.

The ergonomic grip section in transparent plastic gives your fingers a secure hold. A LAMY T 10 ink cartridge in blue is already fitted in the pen, so you can start writing straight away.

Cartridge or bottled ink

With the supplied T 10 cartridge you can write straight away. When it is empty, simply insert a new cartridge. If you prefer bottled ink, you will need the LAMY Z 28 converter, which Lamy recommends for the AL-star. It is not included. Bottled ink is often cheaper per fill and offers a wider choice of colours.

Which nib suits you?

The M nib sits between fine and broad and copes well with most papers and handwriting styles. According to Lamy, the AL-star is available in various nib widths and also for left-handers. If you write very small, a finer nib makes sense. This item has an M nib.
