Faber-Castell Jumbo Grip 8+2 Dino Colouring Pencils, Metallic

Jumbo Grip Dino 8+2 – water-soluble triangular colouring pencils with 2 metallic colours

The Faber-Castell Jumbo Grip set 8+2 (art. no. 110922) contains 10 extra-thick, water-soluble colouring pencils: 8 in standard colours and 2 in bright metallic colours. Dinosaur stickers are included. The pencils have an ergonomic triangular shape and a patented grip zone for a secure, non-slip hold. This makes them easy to hold for long colouring sessions and for small hands. The lead lays down colour softly.

The special bonding protects the lead from breaking. The wood comes from certified sustainable forestry, and the pencils are finished with water-based lacquer. There is a name field on the barrel.

Using the water-soluble feature

You can use the pencils dry like ordinary colouring pencils. For soft blends and watercolour effects, go over the coloured area with a damp brush afterwards and the colours will dissolve. Use paper with a slightly heavier weight, for example watercolour or drawing card, because thin paper goes wavy when wet. The two metallic pencils add accents alongside the standard colours.

Choosing a Jumbo Grip set

This set combines standard and metallic colours. The range also includes sets of 6 or 12 pencils, a neon set with 5 pencils and a pastel set with 5 pencils. If you mainly want classic colours, one of the sets without metallic shades will suit you; for shimmering accents, choose this one.
