Pelikan griffix HB Pencil, Pack of 2

Pelikan griffix HB Pencil – Learn-to-Write Pencil with Triangular Grip

The Pelikan griffix HB pencil is a classic learn-to-write pencil that many schools ask for. You get two pencils in a folding box. They are suitable for first handwriting exercises and writing practice before children move on to writing with ink, and also for drawing.

The long, symmetrical triangular grip suits left- and right-handers alike. According to Pelikan, the grip zone encourages the correct pencil hold and stops the pencil from slipping and rolling away. The wood carries the FSC® label (100%). At 140 mm, the pencil is child-sized.

Which hardness?

According to Pelikan, HB is the best-selling lead in the griffix range. The range is also available with a softer B lead. If your school's supply list specifies a particular hardness, go by that.

Writing and drawing

The triangular grip keeps the fingers in a fixed position. This helps children hold the pencil loosely and evenly. The pencil does not roll off the table. For sketches and simple drawings, the medium HB lead is sufficient.
