Staedtler Lumocolor permanent 350 – chisel tip permanent marker for bold lines

The Staedtler Lumocolor permanent marker 350 is a permanent marker with a chisel tip for labelling, marking and signs on almost all surfaces. According to Staedtler, the line width is approx. 2.0–5.0 mm. On almost all surfaces the ink is very smudge-proof and waterproof, strongly pigmented, low-odour and lightfast. It dries in seconds, so nothing smears as you write, even if you are left-handed. Choose your colour from the options.

Thanks to DRY SAFE, according to Staedtler the marker can be left without its cap for days without drying out. That helps if you forget the cap while working. The tip is locked in place, so it is not pushed back into the barrel as you write. The barrel and cap are made of PP, and the marker is made in Germany.

Using the chisel tip

The narrow edge of the chisel tip draws thinner lines of about 2 mm, while the broad side gives lines of up to about 5 mm. This lets you switch between writing, arrows and broad markings without changing pens. Test adhesion first on an inconspicuous spot, as on smooth, greasy surfaces the result depends on the surface. Degrease such surfaces before writing on them.

Refilling and travel

When the marker runs dry, you can refill it with the Staedtler refill station 488 50 instead of replacing it. The marker is also Airplane safe: according to Staedtler, automatic pressure equalisation stops it from leaking on a plane.
