Faber-Castell Black Edition Colouring Pencils, 24 in Metal Tin

Black Edition colouring pencils in a 24-piece metal tin – strong colour even on dark paper

Faber-Castell Black Edition colouring pencils are coloured pencils for drawings and illustrations on light, coloured and dark paper. The metal tin holds 24 pencils with a black wood barrel and supersoft lead. The lead is highly pigmented, lays down colour extra smoothly and, according to Faber-Castell, glows even on a dark surface.

The pencils have an ergonomic triangular shape that keeps your grip stable. A special bonding protects the lead from breakage. That is useful if a pencil is dropped or you press harder when hatching.

Drawing on dark and coloured paper

Most colouring pencils show only weakly on dark paper. The Black Edition is made for it: the highly pigmented supersoft lead lays down plenty of colour. On dark or coloured paper, apply light shades in two or three layers with medium pressure. They will then stand out more strongly without you pressing the paper flat. On light paper, you can mix colours by layering several shades.

Choosing the set size

The 24-piece tin offers a wide choice of bright colours for school, leisure and your own drawing projects. If you need more gradations for mixing and blending, the Black Edition is also available as a set of 36. For getting started or for on the go, a set of 12 is available.
