Faber-Castell CASTELL DOCUMENT indelible copying pencil

Faber-Castell CASTELL DOCUMENT – indelible copying pencil for cheques and certificates

The CASTELL DOCUMENT copying pencil from Faber-Castell is a document-proof pencil for cheques, certificates, contracts and similar documents. Document-proof means here that the writing is smudge-proof, erasure-proof, lightfast and waterproof. It cannot be removed without trace, does not fade in the light and stays legible even after contact with water. The test criteria are laid down in the ISO 12757-2 standard. As you cannot rub out entries, you should write carefully.

The lead is approx. 2 mm thick and soft. It writes with an even line, and the pencil is also suitable for sketches and drawings. The SV special bonding protects the lead inside the wooden barrel from breaking, for example if the pencil is dropped. Choose your colour from the options.

What the copying pencil is for

For cheques, certificates and contracts you need writing that cannot be altered afterwards. The Document pencil meets this requirement because the line can be neither wiped away nor erased. Water and sunlight should not harm it either. For drafts that you want to change later, use an ordinary pencil instead.

Writing tips

Sharpen the soft lead with a pencil sharpener. Test the line pattern and line width on a scrap sheet first, as nothing can be corrected on the document itself.
