Prym Universal Sewing Machine Needles Size 100 – for Natural and Synthetic Fabrics

Prym universal sewing machine needles in size 100 are replacement needles for standard seams and general sewing. The pack contains 5 steel needles. They are suitable for natural and synthetic fabrics, for example woven fabrics, cotton, linen, mixed fabrics and polyester. The slightly rounded point is gentle on the fabric.

The shank is a flat shank and, according to Prym, fits standard household sewing machines. With five needles in stock, you can replace a blunt or bent needle straight away.

Which fabrics, and when to change the needle

Size 100 is a strong needle. For very fine, thin fabrics, it is better to choose a smaller size so that no visible needle holes appear. Change the needle as soon as the machine skips stitches, the thread breaks or the fabric snags, because a blunt point damages the fabric.

Inserting the needle

Switch the machine off and raise the needle bar. Push the needle in as far as it will go and tighten the clamping screw. On most household machines, the flat side of the shank faces towards the back. You will find the exact orientation in your machine's instruction manual.
