Bear soap dish silicone mould – for plaster, concrete and AC730
With the bear soap dish silicone mould, you can cast bear-shaped dishes in plaster, concrete or AC730 water-resistant casting compound. The very soft silicone picks up fine details and flexes easily for demoulding.
The mould measures approx. Ø 130 × 83 mm and makes one casting at a time.
Casting the bear dish
Place the mould on a level surface so the dish is an even thickness. Mix the casting compound according to the instructions on the packaging and pour it in slowly. Then tap the mould gently on the work surface so that air bubbles rise to the top and the surface is smooth. Leave the casting to harden completely before you demould it. Because the silicone is very soft, simply press the mould outwards from the edges, without pulling on the casting.
Which casting compound to use
The mould is suitable for plaster, concrete and AC730 water-resistant casting compound. Plaster is quick to work with, while AC730 is water-resistant and therefore suits pieces that will come into contact with water. Once you have used a mould for plaster, concrete or similar compounds, do not use it for food any more.
