Prym sew-on press studs 13 mm in transparent are sew-on fasteners for clothing, home textiles and craft projects. The 12 press studs are made of shatterproof plastic and are very light, so they suit fine fabrics. Because they are transparent, they hardly show on the fabric. That works well when the fastener should not stand out as a feature, for example on blouses, cushion covers or bed linen.

How to sew on the press studs

First mark the position on both fabric layers so that the two halves meet exactly later. Then sew one part onto one side and its counterpart onto the other. The four holes act as stitching points: pass the thread through each hole several times until the press stud sits firmly, then fasten off neatly. On thin fabrics, stitch only through the top layer of fabric so that the stitches do not show on the right side.

Which size?

At 13 mm, these press studs are a medium size for blouses, cushion covers and bed linen. For smaller fasteners the same style is also available in 7 mm and 10 mm, and for larger items in 21 mm, each in transparent. If you do not want the fastener to show through, the 13 mm size is also available in black.
