Prym sew-on press studs 15 mm – brass fasteners to sew on

The Prym sew-on press studs, 15 mm in diameter, are sewn onto clothing, bags and accessories as fasteners. Each press stud consists of a socket part and a ball part. The ball part is rolled at the edge and protects the fabric from sharp edges.

The material is rustproof brass, the studs are silver in colour and washable up to 60 °C. That means they also suit items you wash regularly. Four holes in each part help you sew the studs on evenly and securely. The pack contains 6 pieces.

How to sew on the press studs

Lay the fabric edges over each other the way they will overlap when fastened and mark the positions for both stud parts. Only then will the socket and ball parts sit exactly opposite each other and the fastener close neatly. Sew each part on through all four holes with several stitches and secure the thread at the end with a few stitches. Use a strong thread, ideally doubled, so the stud holds even when opened often.

Which size to choose

The range is also available in other diameters from 6 to 30 mm, in silver and in black. At 15 mm, this is a medium size. Choose the diameter to suit the fabric and the place where the fastener will sit.
