Prym Sew-On Press Studs 10 mm, Transparent – Discreet for Lightweight Fabrics

Prym sew-on press studs (art. no. 347159) fasten blouses, bed linen, cushion covers or baby clothes without standing out against the fabric. You get 18 studs, 10 mm in diameter, made of shatterproof, transparent plastic.

The plastic is very light, so it suits fine textiles that a heavy metal fastener would pull out of shape. Because the studs are clear, they take on the colour of the fabric underneath, so you do not need to match a shade. The four holes let you sew them on securely and evenly. According to Prym, they are washable up to 95 °C, so you can also use them on items that you wash hot.

Sewing on the press studs

Mark the position of both parts so that they sit exactly opposite each other when closed. Sew each part on with a strong thread through all four holes, ideally with several stitches per hole. On blouses and covers, catch only the inner layer of fabric so that no stitches show on the outside. Fasten off the thread well at the end so the stud does not come loose in the wash.

Choosing the size

At 10 mm, the press studs sit discreetly on fine fabrics such as blouses, children's clothes or bed linen. The range is also available in other sizes and colours, for example transparent in 7 mm or 13 mm. Choose the size according to the thickness of the fabric and how much strain the fastener has to withstand.
