Prym Sew-on Press Studs 7 mm – Transparent, Shatterproof Plastic

Prym sew-on press studs (art. no. 347118) are transparent plastic snap fasteners for sewing on by hand. You can use them on lightweight clothing, baby clothes, bed linen, cushions, craft projects or around the home. Because they are see-through, they are barely noticeable on light or dark fabrics. That suits cushion covers and bed linen, where the fastening should not stand out.

The plastic is shatterproof and lightweight, so the studs put very little strain on thin fabrics. Four holes on each part show you exactly where to sew. The press studs are washable up to 95 °C. The pack contains 12 studs.

How to sew on the press studs

Mark the position of the top and bottom parts so that they meet exactly when closed. Then sew each part firmly in place with several stitches through all four holes and knot the thread securely on the reverse. On baby clothes, a firm fixing is especially important so that nothing can come loose. On thin or loosely woven fabrics, a small piece of fabric or tape underneath helps the press studs hold and stops the fabric from tearing.
