Prym jersey press studs 10 mm – sew-free for thin, stretchy fabrics

Prym jersey press studs in silver, Ø 10 mm, are sew-free press studs for thin, stretchy fabrics, such as those often used for baby and children's clothing. The 20 pieces come as a refill pack: tool and instructions are not included.

The prong ring only displaces the fabric, so you do not need to punch a hole first and the fabric is treated gently. The press studs have a light closing force and are rustproof. According to Prym, they withstand washing, spinning, dry cleaning, ironing and mangling.

Fitting the press studs

You fit the press studs with the VARIO pliers, the VARIO Creative Tool, or with a tripod and hammer. Mark the position on the fabric and place the top and bottom parts on the correct side of the fabric. Try the fitting on a fabric scrap first: that way you can see whether the stud holds firmly and whether the light closing force suits your fabric.

Which size?

At Ø 10 mm, these press studs are slightly larger and suit fastenings that need to be easy to grip. The range is also available in Ø 8 mm for finer items. A press stud with a light closing force is not intended for thicker, heavy fabrics, as the jersey press studs are made for thin, stretchy fabrics.
