Prym jersey press studs 8 mm – sew-free for thin, stretchy fabrics

Prym jersey press studs in 8 mm, silver colour, are sew-free fasteners for thin and stretchy fabrics such as jersey. You get 20 pieces as a refill pack. The tool for fitting them is needed in addition.

When fitted, the prong ring only pushes the fibres aside, so no hole needs to be punched or pre-punched and the fabric is treated gently. The light closing force suits fine fabrics, as often found in baby and children's clothing. According to Prym, the rustproof press studs are washable, spin-proof, ironable and resistant to dry cleaning and mangling.

Suitable fabrics and fitting

The jersey press studs are intended for fabrics that are too thin or too stretchy for normal press studs, such as fine jersey or knitted fabric. You fit them with one of the tools listed: VARIO Creative Tool, VARIO pliers or tripod with hammer. The exact procedure depends on the tool, so follow the instructions for your tool. Test on a scrap of fabric first: if the stud sits firmly and the fabric has no holes, you can carry on with the garment.
