Dress it up Micro Mini Red Hearts are tiny red heart buttons for patchwork, quilting, scrapbooking and other sewing and craft projects. Each pack contains approx. 35 buttons, each 6 mm in diameter. According to the manufacturer, the Micro Mini buttons are hand-dyed.

The buttons have two holes, so you sew them on with a needle and thread. Their small size adds little accents without overloading a design.

Uses for the heart buttons

At 6 mm in diameter, the hearts suit small details: as an accent on patchwork blocks and quilts, as a trim for bags and accessories, or as an element on scrapbooking pages and cards. They also look good as flower centres or appliqué on decorative projects.

Sewing them on

For buttons this small, use a fine needle and thin, matching thread. Pass the stitches through both holes several times and secure the thread on the back with a knot. This holds the buttons firmly in place and the holes are not visibly covered. The same heart shape is also available in other colours in the Dress it up range, if you want to colour-match a project.
