Prym Sew-On Press Studs 7 mm Black – discreet fasteners to sew on

Prym sew-on press studs (art. no. 341162) are small fasteners made of rustproof brass, for sewing onto clothing and accessories. At 7 mm in diameter they stay unobtrusive. The black colour is barely noticeable on dark fabrics. The 12 studs, all in one colour, come on a cardboard card.

Each press stud consists of a socket part with a spring and a ball part. The ball part has a rolled edge, so the fabric is protected from sharp edges. It also has a locating hole. Four sewing holes per part help you sew it on evenly and securely.

How to sew on the press studs

Mark the position of the ball part and the socket part so that the two sit exactly on top of each other when closed. Sew each part on with doubled thread through all four holes and secure the thread at the end with several stitches. If you sew through each hole separately, the press stud sits firmly and does not tilt to one side. Because of their small size, the 7 mm studs suit fine fabrics and places where the fastener should hardly be noticed.
