Décopatch PappArt Swan – papier-mâché figure to decorate with paper or paint

The Décopatch PappArt Swan is a brown papier-mâché figure that you decorate yourself. You can cover it with Décopatch paper, paint it with acrylic paint or embellish it with sequins and stickers. You can also leave it untreated.

At 85 × 165 × 140 mm, the swan is a handy size for displaying on a shelf, windowsill or table. Only the figure is supplied; paper and glue are not included.

Decorating the swan

To cover it, cut or tear Décopatch paper into pieces of about 2 × 2 cm. Small pieces follow the curves of the neck and body better than large sheets. Brush adhesive varnish onto one area of the figure, lay the piece of paper on top and brush over it with varnish to smooth it down. Let the surface dry slightly as you go and work your way across piece by piece. PaperPatch adhesive varnish is not included.

Choosing a finish

If you want a pattern to stay visible, use Décopatch paper. Acrylic paint suits plain, single-colour surfaces, and you can add details with sequins or stickers. The swan is intended for indoor use and is not meant to float on water.
